Mitt’s Mouth has lost my vote for him. No matter the accuracy of his remarks, it was poor form for him to respond to a developing crisis in the Middle East that occurred on the anniversary of the infamous attack on our soil in NYC with an ad hominem attack on the President. He did not show good judgment in jumping in before the dust settled with recriminations.
To his credit, the President did not have a knee-jemrk reaction to events as they unfolded. In truth the vast majority of Libyans are grateful to Americans for giving them freedom. A small band of terrorists were responsible for killing our people there.
The Romney tone was decidedly retributive. We don’t need any more Presidents who want to even the score over there. We need to work cooperatively with governments there to try to end the violence. Vice-Presidential candidate Ryan said the violence was symptomatic of Obama’s poor leadership. A less intelligent response to a situation like this I have never heard.
The President took things at a studied pace and this time his slow to react strategy worked. He is working co-cooperatively with the Libyan government.

I find it interesting that you are giving Obama so much latitude regarding this situation. He is the commander-in-chief and he certainly hasn’t given me much confidence to handle foreign crisis situations.Romney simply commented on the apologetic statement of the Egyptian ambassador. Obama seems to be frustrated that this crisis is interfering with his campaigning. The middle east is in an uproar–again–and Obama is telling Israel’s PM he doens’t have time to meet with him when he comes to NY in two weeks.
I am amazed that our interests in the middle east were not better prepared for problems on the anniversary of 9/11. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that security should be beefed up (and don’t tell me we didn’t have some kind of advance notice/rumblings that something was going down) in leiu of the 9/11 anniversary. How much better if we had sent those extra 50 marines to EACH embassy before the riots started. Again, a failure of the commander in chief and the minions he has appointed.
Sam Henry, I don’t want us involved in conflict over there any more than you do. But the Islam extremists do not understand or respect anything but force. We need to punish acts as occured yesterday with a quick, brutal hit. In and out. Their governments (if they actually have one, which Libya barely does) understand money. We need to cease funding or at the very least, threaten to do so.
Obama is a very weak leader both at home and abroad. I can’t presume to influence your vote. But if you are not voting for Romney, I pray you don’t vote for Obama.

The problem is, Mitt’s rearks as were Governor Palin’s were perfectly accurate. President Obama’s strategy of betraying US allies to appease the Muslim mob has been nothing more than an intentional betrayal of US interests. The idea that the extremely large, well equipped and trained terrorist group that have conducted coordinated attacks on our embassies in multiple countries would have some merit if not for the fact that these attacks reflect the sentiment of the vast majority of Muslims. Just ask the Coptic Christians of Egypt who are being systematically purged and decimated. Obama has systematically undermined the relatively moderate regimes of the Muslim world who for over a century have kept the Islamic radicals in check. These attacks are the inevitable result.

I thought I would post this link:
http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/09/12/obama-romney-fail-defend-free-speech/
that includes not only Romney’s statement that you find so offensive but the astonishing statement of appeasement released by Obama’s State Department that Romney as well as Palin were responding to.
Obama’s commitment to the Arab Spring might have some credibility if he had supported the Iranians who bravely protested the hijacking of a supposedly free election by the Muslin theocracy. Obama and Clinton’s eagerness to appease the Muslim mobs by blaming the violence on an obscure film that almost no one had heard of is revolting. They were intentionally diverting attention from the fact these assaults on American embassies and sovereignty by well trained terrorists who had been planning the operations before the film was released. More astounding is the eagerness with which they have argued thatbthe right of free speech of American citizens should be restrained tonspare the “religious feelings” of the Muslim mob. The fact that they have actually launched a criminal investigation against the Coptic Christians who are protesting the eminent genocide of the Coptic community in Egypt makes their pandering all of the more nauseating.
