The mainstream media is criticized by Conservatives as having excluded balanced coverage about them and about issues that should be of concern to all Americans while creating a monster: witness the skyrocketing career of one Courtney Stodden frequent source of Anderson Cooper’s most inspired material and now appearing in the mainstream press everywhere.
A close look at the recent pages of People and Britain’s Daily Mail will tell you that Courtney is not the only one providing provocative copy in so-called acceptable news media, but that many others are doing as much or more. But Courtney alone comes complete with brainless blonde routine, a birth certificate indicating that she was barely able to qualify age-wise to marry her 51 year old husband and a stock of YouTube videos featuring her bad singing and possibly fudged truth about her “natural assets.”
Make no mistake, with little prompting beyond going for a walk at Christmas in a boob and eye-popping red bikini while warmed by a leopard print coat, the media has created this tasteless monster. Give us back the days of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield. Now there were delicacies provocatively under wraps most of the time. The left was rest to the creative fertile imaginations of men everywhere. Now it just all hangs out there. It’s a lot like visiting a cow barn if you ask SamHenry but Sam is very old and fussy – fussy about having so little out there of value and true benefit to read. The sad truth is: sex sells.

Thank you SamHenry for mentioning Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield. However; no list of naturally, spectacularly endowed women would be complete if it did not mention Pam Grier.
This entire discussion reminds me of a conversation that I had many years ago with one of the biggest, toughest, realest men I ever knew. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor whose treaty cruiser was able to escape the harbor only to be shot out from under him off Guadalcanal a few months later. Although the doctors predicted that he had only a year to live when he was finally released from the hospital in 1946, he passed away just a few years ago. As an example of what kind of man he was, a hitch hiker who attempted to rob him at gun point had the gun ripped from his hands, then was dragged out of the car and so severely beaten that he submitted to being relieved of his shoes and pants and then patiently sat on a stump in a snow covered field waiting for his intended victim to drive thirty miles to find a police officer to arrest him.
During a discussion that only a man would understand the need for, he commented ,”some are bigger and firmer than others, but they are all beautiful and beautiful women remain beautiful even after they have lost one or both to cancer.”. I once related this conversation to my wife when she was needlessly lamenting the effects that time, motherhood and gravity have had on her.
Women such as Courtney whose obviously enhanced endowments provoke my sympathy for the millions of young men who no longer know what a real woman is supposed to look like much less the ability to appreciate their true beauty.
