Sunday, Philadelphia’s Mayor Nutter made a very detailed and straightforward report on his Administration’s involvement with Occupy Philadelphia, of current municipal needs and provided a profile of a changed Occupy leadership and mix. [link to the full news conference]

Following this, a FOX News reporter attempted to interview members of the Occupy movement and here is the result:
The question remains: what happened to the original leadership? This has been SamHenry’s concern from the initial stages of this movement. It is leaderless in most locations and it is just this side of anarchy when some of the more radical elements join in. And just when things are getting juicy, Jesse Jackson shows up. He would never let a good mess go to waste.
Mayor Nutter has done the responsible thing. Overnight accommodation for protesters in public spaces should be outlawed. Either you protest within the guidelines or you become a mob. It’s very simple.

Did it ever have leadership? I’m trying to recall and I can’t seem to remember anyone claiming leadership for this. I thought it was their astroturf attempt to mimic the TEA party.
“Either you protest within the guidelines or you become a mob.”
I suspect that’s been the whole idea. I often wonder if it really isn’t something to use to push for martial law so as to cancel the 2012 elections. Sometimes it just seems to plausible.
Hope you had a good weekend Sam.

First of all, in my old age my spelling has declined to the level of that demonstrated by most men at any age. LOL
I do believe the radical groups among the Occupiers want to create anarchy – stop the elections – hard to do when in Middle Eastern countries people risked their lives to vote.

Not at all connected to this topic but wanted to give you a heads up.
There is a recent story about a massive explosion at an Iranian Revolutionary Guards base near Tehran.
There is also news of radioactive Iodine-131 being detected in Europe.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/elevated-levels-radiation-detected-europe-iodine-131-found-atmosphere-source-remains-unknown-article-1.976603
Iodine-131 is a major fission product.
Pakistani is claiming that they have had a “leak” in a nuclear reactor which has been repaired. However; to get detectable levels of Iodine-131 over a thousand miles away you need a massive reactor accident worse than Three Mile Island but not as bad as Fukushima or Chernobyl. A more likely suspect is a low yield nuclear explosion, perhaps from a warhead that suffered a premature, incomplete detonation. Seismographs should have detected it, but might have detected the ground shock but presumed it was a nonnuclear explosion.
I don’t know if the Iranians had an accident or if the Israelis gave them a little help, but one of their bombs just went boom.

I had thought iodine was good to control radiation. That will tell you how much I know about THAT!
I am not surprised at a lead. I am not surprised there was either an accident or an encouraged accident. Regardless, with nuclear powers proliferating within the context of the Arab Spring, who knows how/where it will all be resolved before we blow the planet apart. Hugs back SH

Actually, taking non-radioactive Iodine when there is an exposure to radioactive Iodine-131 will protect you by preloading the vulnerable organs (mainly Thyroid gland) so they will not absorb radioactive Iodine. The dosage in the tablets used for this purpose is high, so you don’t want to doctor yourself if you don’t know what you are doing. An alternative, less intense and therefore less treatment that I used during the. Fukushima accident was to have a few Margarittas with Iodized salt. Of course the radiation levels from Fukushima never got high enough to threaten anyone across the Pacific. Even locally the radiation is rapidly decaying to safe levels except near the plant, and even that is a matter of time.
If Israel has helped the Iranians to have a nuclear boo boo, I will celebrate by having more than a few Margarittas. If this was a successful test, then we are all going to want to drown our sorrows in a lot of Maragarritas. When the nuclear 9-11 occurs, we can raise our Maragarittas to a toast of “Bush Lied, People Died”.

Tomorrow OWS is planning on holding their “Day of Rage” across the country and world and they tell us we are going to see what a “Molotov cocktail looks like going off in Macy’s.” They are also threatening to burn down Wall Street, literally. Sounds to me like the radicals now control OWS. I read their proposed agenda posted on their forum yesterday. It’s clearly a Marxist Communist proposed agenda including no private property of any kind being allowed in their new regime. That’s communism and these people ARE communists. Those who aren’t are being simply used as useful idiots. Sad thing is if their Marxist Revolution succeeds all of these people will be dead. That’s what the commies do after they come to power. They kill all of the useful idiots including the protestors, college professors, etc. Case in point: Lenin, Mao, and Pol Pot. They all did it and they’ll do it again.
These RATS have no clue! They don’t even know what they are asking for! NONE of them have ever been forced to live under the Communist jackboot. All they know about it is what their professors have told them and they have visions of utopia dancing in their stupid heads. Problem is that utopia they speak of is only for the Communist elite and NOT for the masses. Their professors don’t tell them that part.
Tomorrow should prove interesting. I’m sure the fascists on Wall Street are not going to stand by watching their buildings burn without a police response and I’m certain that response will be brutal. Money is power. Those with no money have no power. Those with money control everything including the police!

I suggest reading “Architects of Ruin” by Peter Scheitzer. The mortgage crises was created by a conspiracy between liberal activists and crony capitalists. A lot of people on Wall Street, notably those who have been bailed out repeatedly over the years because they have political influence, are crooks. However; the fact that Wall Street isn’t worried andObama is elated suggests that OWS are useful idiots managed by the crooks to help them extort more bailout money from the middle class.
Needlessto say, since OWS is threatening violence Im carrying a gun tomorrow.

Iodine Mystery solved!
I speculated that the Iranians had some leakage from a low yield, underground test which is not abnormal. No a Hungarian medical isotope manufacturer is stepping forward to take the blame. This is a deplorable failure on their part but better than Iran testing nukes

Sam Henry, you shame me by finding the business relationship between Iran and the Hungarian Isotope Manufacturerer. Below is a link to an informative article.
http://radioactive.eu.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=663:iaea-baking-bullbiscuits-in-hungary&catid=100:radioactive-news-18-november-2011&Itemid=223
First and foremost, a little number crundhing reveals that the amount of Iodine-131 released would not be suffecient to create the levels observed over such a wide area. Keep in mind that the levels detected are extremely low so don’t panic, but the lab didn’t release enough radioactive material to account for it. Secondly, the radiation was leaked gradually over time, mostly during the first half of the year. Since Iodine-131 has a half-life of only eight days, the radioactivity of releases months ago would have decayed to near zero.
The folks at the IAEA are not stupid. They can do the math just as well as I can. Since the Iodine levels seem to be remaining near constant, this isn’t the result of a weapons test. Either someone somewhere has a leaky reactor that they don’t want to acknowledge, or someone with marginal technology is reprocessing irradiated U-238 samples to extract Plutonium.

JC – I was LOLing the business relationship between Hungary and Iran but it COULD have some modicum of truth.
Ah, but Plutonium – that is a horse of another color!
James Crawford
November 19, 2011
Actually, weapons grade Uranium is much easier to make a bomb out of than weapons grade Plutonium. Plutonium has always been the preferred fissile material only because it had beeN cheaper and easier to manufacture. Gas centrifuge technology has changed that. However; since the Sextunt Computer virus destroyed Iran’s gas centrifuge cascade (over sped the centrifuges so they ripped themselves apart), perhaps Iran has used it’s partially enriched Uranium to build a crude reactor to make Plutonium?

Another interesting article.

If Iran is testing an ICBM, they are anticipating having nuke to put on it. No one can afford to spend a hundred million dollars to build a missile that delivers only one ton of conventional explosive to a target.
roblorinov
November 19, 2011
They must be testing an ICBM. They have to be. The Iranian regime is really psycho and bent on taking Israel out. The ayatollah’s think they really are doing the work of Allah and that their destiny is to rule, first, the Muslim world and, second, the entire world. The sad thing is that Iran is really a beautiful country and I love the people there. To see them have to live under such oppression is heartbreaking to say the least.

I have Persian friends and I could not agree with you more about them. Also, the country is beautiful. I have seen some good examples of Persian cinema. The dreary drab world of the communists is ahead for us all.
