There was an excellent piece on Herman Cain on the CNN Political Ticker today and it went down as fast as it went up. The hook was Cain’s remark that blacks have been brainwashed but at the end of the article, Cain made some astute observations about the roll of the media in this campaign:
Cain also weighed in on the recent chatter surrounding Chris Christie, saying the recent reports the New Jersey governor is reconsidering a run for president were hurting the electorate.
“It’s not insulting as much as it is a disservice to the American people,” Cain said. “Chris Christie has been saying for a long time he’s not interested in running. The media is trying to create a story by sucking Chris Christie into race, just like they made a story by sucking Rick Perry into the race.”
Cain said the media should focus on the candidates who have already declared their candidacy to give voters a better idea of the field. CNN
Cain’s plain prose and consummate common sense should reach more hearts and ears.

I think its too late for any potentials to get into the field. I just read twitted link that Florida is moving its GOP primary date to January 31, 2012. That’s about 4 months away. Not much time left.
Its said that the FL GOP primary that’s proposed to move up has caused other states to move their calendar up as well, even knowing the RNC penalties. Each state remembers the last presidential election.
So these Candidates will have to gin up money w/ chop chop speed. We best get prepared to see some severe mud slinging, cause its coming.

The media is trying to control the Republic nomination. First they thought Romney was their boy, then Perry, and now that Cain is coming from out of nowhere they don’t know what to do except try to suck Christie into the race. If the MSM can control the nomination and they already have Obama then they win either way and We The People lose…again! I hope Herman Cain kicks their behinds royally! And Obama will not be able to play the race card because he’s only half black while Cain is full black!! Cain can use Obama for a counter cloth and he already is beginning to do just that. I saw a poll today. Obama got 39% support and Cain got an astounding 34% support which surprised “everyone” meaning in the MSM. Cain is straight talking, no holding back, tell it like it is and frankly that is exactly the RX America needs right now.

Boy is the media ever trying and trying. But Cain talks common sense and they have not been up against that yet. Rushing to get my taxes paid.

In other words, the media should focus on reporting the news instead of trying to create the news. Heh, that’s probably why they took it down so fast, lol.

Haven’t had you fly in in a few. Hope all is well. Media always tend to create the news. That’s a given. Hugs

Hugs back.
I’ve been sick the past week, but otherwise well. Just trying to focus on school now. Got the new grade for my son so I’ve been working with him on that.
It takes longer, the older they get.

Instead of manipulating the news, the media needs to use its resources to VET these candidates.
But on the plain prose subject matter, Cain’s flavor of plain prose lacks discipline for the high office he seek. Admittedly, Cain is plain spoken, but he’s also too raw in his speech (verbally & in writing).
For instance, its plain prose for Cain to say that Ron Paul supporters ask stupid questions. Is this plain prose? Yes. Is it presidential? Obviously no. There is no dissecting or gray area to retract from. I read some bloggers saying similar things, but they are not running for president.

Another example of the Plain Proses of Herman Cain, is his unrestrained utterance of blacks in democrat party are “brainwashed”. Is this plain spoken to the ears? Yes it is. Is it something we want a president to say? I don’t think so. Did it reach the ears of people? Ah… yes. Did it reach the hearts of people? No. This is what I expect to hear a comedian or talk radio host to say. But Cain, as a presidential candidate can not say this in public.
Here is my plain prose on Cain: He lacks tact & is uncouth. The plain prose of Juan Williams on Cain: “He (Cain) is a Simpleton” ; but I suppose the diplomatic description of Cain is just “plain prose” sort of guy. Why don’t we all just Let it all hang out .. it feels good to say it, just spit it out & go plain prose, just like Herman Cain. And how long do you think that’s gonna last?

These are times for the plainest of plain prose, Arlene. I think the citizens want a straight shooter. Bush Jr thought he spoke plain but he was bull of puff, stuff and nonsense. And Perry thinks he speaks plain but he is also puff, stuff and nonsense. The press is all over all of the non-Democrats. Hell, no one is running a perfect ticket that could make it in heaven. Thanks my friend for these valuable videos.

And btw, can you imagine if the teaparty at next rally follows Cain’s lead. Imagine teaparty especially Cain supporters) burning mid nite oil making up signs that reads: “Blacks Dems R Brainwashed … Please cross over to GOP ASAP”. I tell you, the laws would be called, loss of demonstration permits, dragged thru mud in local & national news & no doubt we would be hauled to jail for inciting a riot. And we cant use the excuse of “Well officer, Cain said it”.
“Some” folks in our party (tea party, conservative, GOP or any derivative thereof) think its cute what Cain said. But these same people do have common sense to realize there are consequences to these sort of actions.

That’s true, Arlene. And I mention this in the next post about Cain and what he said. He really has to learn how to say what he thinks and to think what he says. The GOP has a chance or the libs would not be so vicious in their attacks. I just love the way you say what you say. There should be a book of politics by Arlene.

I know there are a lot of common sense types in our party. I think the trouble with Cain is that he has not had to be “politik” being outside politics. It’s like living alone. You have no one to moderate what you say, how you say it, etc. He will get it. “Every dog has its day.”

well, its true that nothing on planet earth is perfect. It just depends on how deep the flaw is.

True but what I like about you Arlene is you not only tell it like it is – you have a unique style. I hope you see that. And if anyone can plumb the depths of a flaw it is you! In the end for all of his flaws, it is Cain and not Obama that will be the pioneer Black Politician of national import. He is fully black, fully Native but above all fully honest. I hope Christie will sit this one out. It will be too strenuous for him at his weight and I believe with Cain that the focus should be on the already declared.
