The Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have to live through yet another scandal involving their parents in less than a year both of which ride just below the legal radar. Their mother was found to have offered an undercover journalist money for access to Andrew who serves as a trade representative for Britain.
Then came the unthinkable: it has been rumored that Prince Andrew played a role in the release of the convicted Lockerbee bomber of Pan Am flight 103. The convicted bomber is safely in Libya, and has been alive and well for months, having been mistakenly released for humanitarian reasons due to ill health. Americans are unforgiving when it comes to this bombing. It was an act of war carried out on civilians.
Now certain circles want Andrew banned from the US including Conservative blogger and former Connecticut State Senator, Kevin Rennie:
Until the British government confesses its own actions and demonstrates that Prince Andrew played no role in the release of a convicted terrorist in its custody, the Duke of York should be banned from entering the United States. He’s not our sort. [Telegraph]
But that is not the end of Andrew’s developing troubles. Last week, Prince Hilariousness as the Guardian refers to him, was discovered to have been visiting a friend in NYC who happens to have been a convicted child molester. Then came the allegations and damming photo: Andrew with his arm around the naked waist of a 17 year old American flown by her “pimp,” Epstein, to Britain to meet Andrew.
It seems impossible for Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson to stay out of trouble. Meanwhile Andrew’s power over his mother’s purse and pleasure have meant that she joined him in paying off much of Fergie’s debt and has managed to save Fergie’s royal title, Dutches of Kent, for her.
The 17 year old in the photo above, Virginia Roberts, is now the mother of 3 living in Australia. Her husband was unaware of her 4 years spent as a companion for Epstein and his pals. She testified anonymously a his trial. She has said that she met Andrew on 3 occasions but that she did not have sex with him. [Daily Mail] Epstein flew her to Britain to meet Prince Andrew and the picture above was taken at that time.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Andrew was the picture of family bliss as he and Fergie took their two girls on a skiing holiday at the Klosters. Andrew and Sarah have been good to their girls but, in-the-main, have not done good BY them. Surely the girls are the butt of many jokes, their parents having put them in an untenable position.

Well that raised my eyebrows higher than they were before. Are we in danger of getting carried away though with the Epstein connection? (I hope so.)
Re Libya and Lockerbie – it’ll be interesting to see if credible evidence emerges in the aftermath of the unrest about the planning of the attack on Flight 103 as to who was behind it. Was it Libya as declared in court and believed by the American relatives? Or were PFLP-GC guys from Damascus the real culprits – as suspected by some of the British relatives and other commentators?

I believe it was more the work of a madman and his cohorts. He feels he is higher than anyone. As for Andy, I think this has to be his swan song. I think he and Fergie need to fade away to a Spanish oh what is it you call those farms – you know. They are not doing ANYONE or ANYTHING any good. Sad to say that’s the Philip factor at work. What a cad.
