Here is a video of Ronald Reagan expounding traditional theories on “socialized” medicine. He says it is a traditional means to introduce a pattern that would be the first step to socialism in general. It would be fairly easy to expand upon it. A universal health care bill under consideration during his administration he characterized as a mechanism for the expansion of socialism.
The concept of compulsory universal health care was actually introduced during the Truman Administration. Early on it was decided that the Social Security Act would be expanded to accommodate the outline of universal health care. Social Security was never meant to replace savings, etc. so the premise of expanding Social Security by an amendment to it would therefore be inappropriate.
In voicing all of the above, in today’s climate he would be deemed one of the Republican “terrorists” and a racist were he to call the Obama Administration socialist and disagree with their methodology. By the way, I am amazed at the number of blacks who think that criticizing Obama himself or his administration is in itself covert racism. Many of these same citizens feel they are due reparation for the years of slavery and they feel it should come NOW. See iReport and comments

I believe that a shift in paradigm from the Ronald Reagan years has contributed to successful “marketing” of the idea that ALL Republicans are “terrorists” and racist as a credible stance. O how far we have come down the wrong road for a country Barack Obama promised to bring together. Instead he yells in a recent speech for the people that object to health care reform, and he deems them the very people who gave us this mess and that they should stand out of the way.

Amen sister! I was not a Reagan man when he became President. Since realizing I’m a Conservative, I have found I relate more to Reagan than any other President. God Bless this man.

Ronald Reagan saw the writing on the wall early on and switched from the Dem party to the Rep because of the wrong turn the dems were going.
When are people gonna understand that the Democratic Party NO LONGER exists? It is nothing but the party of Karl Marx and oh yeah, he was NOT an American and his beliefs would be considered traitorous and deemed ANTI-AMERICAN by REAL American Patriots.
